BE CALM WITHIN TERMS & CONDITIONS (Last updated April 2025)
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of www.becalmwithin.com and the services provided by BCW Services Pty Ltd (ABN: 78 660 398 872), trading as Be Calm Within. By accessing our website or booking services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Eligibility
Be Calm Within offers non-clinical, trauma-effective services designed to address the emotional and subconscious roots of distress. These approaches provide a complementary or alternative pathway to traditional talk therapy or psychiatric treatment.
Services are available to individuals aged 12 and above. Clients under 18 require the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Please note: These services do not include medical diagnosis or psychiatric care. If you are in crisis or require medical support, please contact your GP, mental health provider, or emergency services.
2. Services Provided
Be Calm Within delivers personalised, trauma-effective support that works at both the conscious and subconscious levels to help you release patterns and emotional burdens rooted in past experiences.
Each session is tailored to your individual needs, using a range of trauma-informed techniques and supportive coaching to assist you in moving from survival to clarity, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
Sessions are available:
In-person (Sutherland Shire & Sydney City, NSW)
Online via Zoom
Educational resources (e.g., blogs, videos, social content) are provided for general guidance only and are not a substitute for therapy.
3. Payment and Fees
Initial Bookings: Payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment.
Ongoing Sessions: Must be paid in advance—either at the previous session or automatically 7 days before your appointment via your saved Stripe payment details.
Session Fees (incl. GST):
$210/hour – TRTP & Couples Therapy
$170/hour – Other Therapy or Coaching
Note: TRTP includes 2–3 hours of therapist preparation outside of your session. The fee reflects this.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Due to the 90–120 minute length of most sessions, late cancellations have a significant impact. Please provide as much notice as possible.
To cancel or reschedule, contact us via phone, WhatsApp, or email.

More than 48 hours’ notice | No fee. Full refund or transfer to a new session. |
24–48 hours’ notice | 50% fee ($105 or $85) to cover room/time loss. |
Less than 24 hours or no-show | Full session fee ($210 or $170) applies. |
TRTP Prep Cancellation | No refund once prep work has commenced. |
Emergency (with documentation) | Partial fee ($30/hour) may apply. |
Rescheduling is subject to availability within 48 hours of your original booking.
5. Confidentiality
All client information is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and NSW privacy legislation.
Confidentiality may be legally waived if:
There’s a risk of harm to you or others
Required by court order
You provide written consent
No Zoom sessions are recorded without prior agreement. Data is stored securely and anonymised where possible.
6. Client Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
Complete all pre-session forms at least 3 days in advance
Provide accurate details about your health and trauma history
Arrive on time and prepared
Notify us promptly if cancelling or rescheduling (see Section 4)
Take responsibility for your actions outside of sessions
Abuse, threats, or disrespect may result in immediate termination of services.
7. Limitation of Liability
While our services are delivered with professionalism and care, results depend on your readiness and participation. Outcomes are not guaranteed.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant session or service.
Educational content is for general use and is not a replacement for therapy.
8. Termination of Services
You may discontinue services at any time with written notice.
Be Calm Within may also terminate services with 7 days’ notice due to:
Non-payment
Breach of terms
Clinical unsuitability (e.g., need for referral to another provider)
Refunds: Unused, prepaid sessions will be refunded on a prorated basis.
9. Emergency Services Disclaimer
Be Calm Within is not a crisis service. If you need immediate support:
Call 000 for Emergency Services
Visit your nearest hospital
Contact your GP or local mental health provider
10. Changes to Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically. Updates apply to new bookings only.
Continued use of services after updates are published on www.becalmwithin.com implies acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be addressed through mediation or resolved in NSW courts under Australian Consumer Law.
